Reconstruction of gas tightness of the technological partitions of the workshops of main pipeline gas compressor stations

One of the problems which GAZPROM gas transmission enterprises face is provision of gas tightness of the partition walls between the machine room and supercharger gallery in the workshops of the main pipeline compressor stations.

Urgency of this problem is sustained by the fact that the technology of sealing of the partition wall panel joints existing at present provides integrity of the wall structure and its gas tightness for an insignificant period – often up to one year. This leads to the necessity to carry out often repair and renewal operations.

On the basis of the researches held jointly with GAZPROM gas transmission enterprises the most significant factors were revealed leading to destruction of the panel joints of the partition walls.

The specialists of our company developed the restoring repair technology protected by the Russian Federation patent No. 2226234 dated August 13, 2003. The developed technology permits to minimize as much as possible the results of impact of the revealed factors and provide gas tightness of the partition wall for the period up to 5 years in conditions of:

• high vibration
• impact of significant temperature drops
• long-term impact of high temperatures
• impact of corrosive environments
• high explosion risk

The materials applied in the works are incombustible, resistant to impact of oil and gas vapors and permitted for use at the facilities of high explosion risk.
